As Gen-Z begins to realize there is life outside of the phone, malls are experiencing a comeback. We decided to fan those flames for Journey's relaunch by recreating the iconic Bath and Body Works smelling, American Cookie Co. tasting youth anthem "You Get What You Give" by the New Radicals. Produced by Gregg Alexander of the New Radicals, we created a modern composition of the track that features the vocals of genre-blending Gus Dapperton. Paying homage to the original music video, we unleashed Journeys-sneaker-clad teens into a mall to wreak havoc on boomers, directed by Stillz and shot entirely on film. The music video was appropriately teased with a TikTok social influencer campaign.
