Leanne Amann is a Texas-born, New York-based Group Creative Director and filmmaker. She got her start in advertising winning the Gold Pencil at the One Show as a student at the University of Texas in Austin. . Her first campaign at JWT catapulted the feminine care category with the launch of Kotex's new brand, U by Kotex. The campaign went on to become shortlisted at Cannes and take home the Gold at the Effies and Art Directors Club, among other awards.
She’s gone on to reinvent other brands and categories since, most recently at Anomaly where she’s created award-winning work for massive global brands including Johnnie Walker, YouTube, Converse and Don Julio.
As an art, music and literature geek, she’s a stickler for craft. That sense of style and caliber of taste is evident in all her work. She believes advertising can also be, but is so rarely, art. But meeting that challenge is the best reward.
